Front Panel
The Front Panel consists of a Tab Window on the left-hand side of the screen with the following tabs: Metronome and Options. A Pattern Matrix is located on the right-hand side of the screen and a Rhythm Indicator directly above it. Buttons to Open and Save drum patterns are located on the top of the screen. Buttons to Start/Stop, Quite and Maximize/Minimize the screen are positioned on the top left-hand side of the screen. The installed sound devices are are indicated in the Device dialog box at the bottom of the screen.

Start Stop button
- The Start/Stop button can be activated with the mouse or pressing the keyboard space bar.
Pattern Matrix
- A matrix with individual cells to activate and deactivate drums.
- Different drums can be selected in the dialog boxes located at the left-hand side of the matrix.
- Individual drum volumes can be adjusted in controls located at the left-hand side of the matrix.
- The Pattern Matrix can be minimized by clicking on the Minimized button. This button shows Maximize when the Pattern Matrix is hidden.
- The beat and rhythm of the pattern are indicated by a Beat Indicator and Rhythm Indicator. The Beat Indicator shows the number of the beat in the musical bar (pattern) and the Rhythm Indicator displays the timing of the beat in the rhythm pattern.

Procedure to Save custom patterns
- Modification to an existing drum pattern or setting up a drum pattern from a blank pattern can be saved with a new file name.
- Clicking on the Blank button initializes an empty Pattern Matrix.
- Click on the Save As button and save the modified pattern with a different file name.
- You can't save a drum pattern with the same name as a Preset drum pattern that are provided with the program in the \Patterns\ directory.
- Use the Save button to save latest changes to a modified drum pattern.

Beat and Rhythm indicators
- Bars: This indicator is shown as an numerical value with one decimal point. The value before the point indicates the number of completed bars for the chosen pattern; and the value after the point (decimal) indicates the number of beats completed in the bar.
- Total beats: This value indicates the total number of beats from the time the metronome is started until stopped.
- Total Time: This is the total time, in seconds, from the moment the metronome is started until stopped.
