Getting Started
- A sound card is required to use the program. The software will automatically detect the installed sound devices on your PC.
- Please ensure that the sound card and drivers are installed and enabled before you open the program.
- Please ensure that the sound card software is correctly set-up and that the correct source input is selected.
- Tuning of your guitar can be performed by plugging your guitar cord into the microphone jack of the PC, in most cases it will require the use of a 3.5 mm adaptor. Tuning can also be performed with a microphone connected to you sound card for an acoustic guitar or electric guitar connected to an amplifier.
- Please ensure that the microphone setting of your sound card is enabled and that the boost setting is activated.
- A run-time engine is part of the installation.
- Please ensure that the program is fully functional and compatible with your PC and sound card before purchasing a License Code.
Please perform the following basic steps to tune your guitar:
- Before you open the program please ensure that the sound card is enabled and that the correct source input is selected.
- Open Tone Guitar Tuner by selecting Programs/nvhsoftware/Tone Guitar Tuner 2.0 from the Windows
button.
- Choose a Sound Device from the dialog box located at the top of the screen.
- Plug your guitar or a microphone into the selected sound card microphone jack.
- Plug a string on the guitar and tune the musical note by adjusting the machine head of your guitar so that the needle is positioned in the middle of the gauge. Correct tuning is indicated by a an arrow that appears above the needle.
- Follow the same procedure to tune all the strings of the guitar or to identify any note on the guitar fret board.
