Sweep Generator

Select Sweep in the dialog box positioned at the top of the tab window.

The following options are available to adjust the sweep signal:

Signal: The following stationary signals can be generated: Sine, Triangle, Square and Sawtooth Wave
Amplitude: The amplitude of the sweep signal
Offset: The Offset of the sweep signal
Start Frequency: The start frequency of the sweep signal
End Frequency: The end frequency of the sweep signal
Sweep Duration: The duration of the sweep
Frequency Interval: The frequency increment of the sweep signal
Sweep Function: Linear, Exponential and Logarithmic are available
Sweep Factor: The exponential and logarithmic function can be modified by increasing the value of the Sweep Factor. A value of 0 will produce a linear function. The Sweep Factor is only available for Exponential and Logarithmic options.

Sweep information can be observed by left clicking the Sweep Information tab located at the top of the tab window located on the right-hand side of the screen. The table indicates Sweep Frequencies, Sweep Time and Time Intervals. The sweep frequency vs. sweep time is displayed in the Graph above the sweep information table.

Sweep information is updated when any of the sweep parameters are adjusted when the generator is off. Interval sweep information is updated in real time when the generator is running. Sweep progress is also displayed in the progress bar at the bottom left-hand side of the screen. Indicators also show the Total Time and Frequency below the progress bar.

Note: Insufficient PC processing resources may cause that the Total Time, displayed at the bottom left-hand side of the screen, is bigger than the selected Sweep Time. This can be overcome by increasing the sweep Frequency Increment or Sweep Duration to obtain the selected Sweep Time.
