Getting Started
- A sound card is required to use the program. The software will automatically detect the installed sound devices on your computer.
- Please ensure that the sound card and drivers are installed and enabled before you open the program.
- Please ensure that the sound card software is correctly set-up and that the output (headphone jack) of the sound card is connected to an audio system.
- A run-time engine is part of the installation.
- Please ensure that the program is fully functional and compatible with your PC and sound card before purchasing an activation code.
Please perform the following basic steps to generate a signal with the use of your PC sound card:
- Before you open the program please ensure that the sound card is enabled and that the correct source output (headphone jack) is selected and connected to an audio system.
- Open Spectro Signal Generator by selecting Programs/nvhsoftware/Spectro Signal Generator 2.0 from the Windows
button.
- Select a sound device in the dialog box located at the bottom left-hand side of the screen.
- Click the mouse on the Generator tab and select either Static or Sweep in the dialog box at the top of the tab window. Adjust the parameter for the static or sweep signal.
- Adjust the Amplitude setting and audio system volume control to obtain the required sound level of the signal.
- Click the Start button located at the top left-hand corner of the screen to start the generator.
- Select Options in the Toolbar where the Time and Frequency graph options can be adjusted if required.
