Analyzer

The Analyzer Tab Window is displayed by selecting the Analyzer button in the Tool Bar.

The Analyzer window provides the following options:

Octaves: 1 Octave or 1/3 octave bands
Low Band: Lower frequency of the octave spectrum
High Band: Higher frequency band of the octave spectrum
Averaging: RMS or Peak averaging
Lin/Exp: Exponential or Linear weighting

Linear Averages: Enter the number of linear averages to be performed before the analysis stops.
Exp Averaging: 0.5, 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 Seconds averaging time. Averaging process is ongoing.

Window: Window functions (Hanning, Hamming, etc)

Note: The performance of the program depends on the available processing resources, which is directly connected to the specification of you computer in terms of memory and motherboard. A Butterworth filter is required for each filter band that forms part of the analysis; and can be spared by choosing 1/1 Octave analysis over 1/3 Octave analysis and/or reducing the octave frequency span by choosing the maximum Low Band and minimum High Band that is applicable to the analysis. A help window will indicate when the program run out of resources.
