Getting Started
- A sound card is required to use the program. The software will automatically detect the installed sound devices on your PC.
- Please ensure that the sound card and drivers are installed and enabled before you open the program.
- Please ensure that the sound card software is correctly set-up and that the correct source input (microphone jack) is selected for the microphone.
- A run-time engine is part of the installation.
- Please ensure that the program is fully functional and compatible with your PC and sound card before purchasing an license key.
Please perform the following basic steps to measure a frequency or octave spectrum with the use of your PC sound card:
- Before you open the program please ensure that the sound card is enabled and connected to a microphone.
- Open the program by selecting Programs/nvhsoftware/Spectro Frequency Analyzer 2.0 from the Windows
button.
- Select a sound device in the dialog box at the top of the screen
- Click the Start button in the top left-hand corner of the screen to perform the analysis.
- If required adjust the signal processing parameters by left clicking the mouse on the FFT Analyzer tab.
- Scroll the cursor lines with the mouse in the graphs to determine the amplitude for a specific frequency.
- Graph results can be saved in a text file by selecting File in the menu at the top of the screen.
- Graph properties can be changed by selected the Graph tab in the tab window.
